<font face="Arial">Hi All

Very happy with my standard rockhopper (apart from the tyres which I changed before leaving the shop) but I am getting a sore rear after an hour or so in the saddle!

Dont want to change to an old mans comfort saddle so was wondering - is this more likely to be just a question of getting used to it or could it just be a shape issue?

(prob a question from other users of same saddle really ;-])

cheers </font id="Arial">

I had a sore butt for a week after my first wales ride at Afan, so I got a full susser

If you haven't been riding that long, it takes your arse a while to get accustomed to the saddle

Its all down to the anount of riding you do, I had a sore butt when I first started but you soon get use to it. A good pair of padded shorts will help.

I also changed my saddle to an SDG belair and this helped.

    Thanks folks

I will stick it out for a while but if no improvement that SDG saddle looks nice! Always good to have an excuse to upgrade ;-]

The saddle looks the same as on my Stumpjumper, and I found it hurt at the start. Two tips based on my experiance:

1: Wear a good pair of cycling shorts. Sooooo important.
2: Ride often! This builds up the muscles in your arse, and in a few weeks it will be very comfy.
