I only use my mobile to receive calls/texts. I just use other peoples mobiles (say I don't have any credit, I'm such an asshole) or home phones. So far I've spent 40p since December. Foolproof plan.

œ20 has lasted me 3 months now, but mostly due to the fact that Orange give me free calls and texts if I top up enough a month, so I managed not to spend anything for a month at least.

Ok, entire cost of my contract = œ180, including phone, 500 minutes and 100 texts monthly, for a year.

Cost of my phone PAYG (when i got it) = œ600
Cost of minutes and texts for year = Probably around œ400

So œ180 contract, or œ1000 on PAYG.
