It feels awesome to ride & is a lot more stable than it looks:

Sorry have to disagree with you there, find a nice boarderX course & nothing can beat it, just like snowboarding

That looks so dodgy, give me a bike anyday.

Wouldnt that be unstable because you would have quite a high centre of gravity?!?!

No it's very stable, just like riding a surfboard or snowboard (as soon as you gain some momentum anyway)

you powerslide to stop, lean back and grab the edge and slide to stop! mountain boards are just as fun, feel safer with 4 wheels, but cant take the bumps as well because the wheels are smaller!

OOh, that's actually quite cool. Still, I'd be too scared of falling flat on my face/wrists.[8)]

I wouldn't say riding 4 wheels is any safer, I've heard that nearly all mountain boards get speed wobble when you hit a certain speed. None of that with a Dirtsurfer. It seems to be a lot easier to control than a mountain board also (I will admit my mountain boarding experience is not that good)
  • Wow that looks pretty damn awesome.

(Says he who has 2 of them and a mountainboard) They're well fast and quite easy to get the hang of. There's a guy who rides down at Chicksands sometimes, sure he'd let anyone have a go. Great for any snowboarders looking for something in the off season.

Yes they do. or at least the ones i've ridden did.

But that said, that thing looks more deadly than a box of grenades on a bonfire.

if a mountain board (using longboard technology) is getting speed wobble its because its not set up properly

sometimes its just because the wheelbase isnt quite right, in which case, to loose the wobble you just need to sit the board into a slight turn moving the trucks and not letting them wobble.

Well admittedly we were sitting on it and rolling down a rather large hill, but even when attempting to ride it normally, when you get to the speed where your screaming "OH MY GOD STOP STOP STOP STOP STOP!!!!" it starts to wobble pretty bad. good times [:)]
