Hi,

I need some advice on buying a hardtail bike. I don't expect to do anything rough and tough with it and, as you can see, I am on a very tight budget indeed. Saving up more isn't really an option, sorry.

The ones I've been looking at are

Diamondback MO5 (from Halfords)
Diamondback Outlook HT
Diamondback Peak
Muddyfox Feral

Can you give me some advice?

Thanks for your help

Leo

œ200 will buy you a brand new 2007 Giant Boulder - just got one for my wife (female frame version) as a first trail / cycle track bike and it is very high spec for the money. good quality parts as most of what you get is from higher spec Giants.

Great entry level bike for generally scooting around on, to and from work on light trails, cycle paths, roads and will be happy on dirt & grass, etc.

if you can stomach eating beans for a week and save another œ50 then go for the Giant Rincon 2007 model @ œ250.00

    you won't regret it !!! I did'nt

    Hi guys,

Just found a Giant Rincon 2007 for œ199.99 and I've read a few excellent reviews on it.
Its perfect for my budget, no beans, and I think my quest for the perfect sub œ200 bike (I know, it's all relative) will stop here. I'll let you know how I got on.

Thanks again to all of you who replied.
