An important decision...

Background Info
I'm 17, enjoy my life at the moment its great. Enjoy hanging around with my friends, playing music, mtbing and fire juggling etc etc

So on Saturday night my friend held a massive party in his field. Me and a few others put on a fireshow then started drinking after we had finished. I drank too much too quickly, that combined with no food and a body full of parrafin made me very ill. By the 7th can I was unconcious in a tent in a sleeping bag. Apparently about 40 minutes later a friends come to see how I am and I'm thrashing around a bit. Moan something about me being sick then proceed to throw up profusely for about an hour before passing out again. Now I don't remember anything except the memory of an interesting taste. I got up this morning, felt fine, no hangover, just a hungry stomach and a dry mouth the usual. I found out that a guy who I've met before but only really got to know last night spent time looking after me, which ruined a good party for him and a night with his girlfriend! Naturally now that I've found this out I feel suitably embaressed and muchos like a complete tit!

The decision is to go tee-total for a month and see how it goes. I know many of you on here don't drink at all but I do feel 17 is rather young to sober up[:D]

I like the person I become after a few but add another couple onto it and I'm a complete tit that I hate.

EDIT: Just drinking a few does sound like the solution but I have shit willpower and tbh the thought of alcohol right now still makes me feel rough. I need sleep.

Isn't the answer to just drink a couple rather than get smashed?

I promised myself I wouldn't ever.. but here we go..(MySpace)

Yeah, just have a few drinks. Have two or three beers, then slowly drink some water. I always find that once I start drinking water, I don't really want more alcohol.

i was the same as you but it took me years of doing that everynight to realise that i didnt enjoy it. and now i only drink socially

I gave up at New Years and it's stuck. Thing is, it's not hard at this age but it's your decision.

I'll probably start drinking sensibly again it's getting to be a bore.

I never intended to get fumble in the jungleered. I just had an endless supply of cider in my boot. We were sitting around a fire and laughing and joking. It's amazing how quickly they can slip down. The funny thing is that I have drunk soo much more in the past (trips to France racing) but yet never done what I did last night. [:(]

It's good to have a bad experience when you are young. You will learn you're lesson and wont drink so much in the future. But it's no bad thing if you want to stop drinking for a while, but remember its not the only solution

sometimes it just does that if you haven't eaten and whatever...you're 17 too, you can't be THAT used to getting train spotterted (or maybe i'm just naive!)...practice makes perfect, minimum of 4 cans a night from now on.

Just go out and get smashed again. Might as well while you are young, you might regret it when you are older and can't keep up anymore. There's plenty of time to be sober when you are dead.

19, never drank ever. Really isn't very hard to stay sober =] And of course you can remember everyone else being drunk and annoy them with tales of their stupidity [:p]

And of course you're a helluva lot better off moneywise and don't get hangovers, huzzah.

Wouldn't worry about it.
I've done much worse while drunk.
As the the bloke who looked after you, i'm sure you'd have done the same for him.

Good skills re. fire juggling... I have two firestaff and i'm getting pretty skilled at them.
