hello all
im creepz or mark to relitives and mrs etc im 26
started riding yrs ago in skelmersdale lancs loads of juvenile jumping and seeing who could go down steepest hill etc all gd fun
then in 96 i built up a xc do it all bike based on a merlin frame and then i moved to london well not much riding there so it collect road film until i moved to hastings on south coast which if ya aint been there is made of hills drops stair cases gallore , i picked up a marin fs bike more xc orientated but i added stringer swing arm coil shock n pai of halo's n judy's but it didnt work to well with frame and eventually it bit dust on friston's small dh course (maybe thoose staircase slalom's done most of damage ) but it died

booooooohoooooooo

so now im bk 2 yrs on ive moved to letham in forfar angus scotland pretty close to dundee .
Well basically it looks like riding heaven to me round here and in scotlnd in general
so i need a new bike

what i wanna do on it
1. get to work n back
2. ride hard anywhere and everwhere
3. freeride
4. jumping
5. slalom
6. fun fun fun

basically im thinking hardtail with around 100 to 120 travel more welcome , the catch is mrs pregnant 5 weeks till d day
so money is tight verrry tight , i want a bike i can buy and ride and slowly buy surely upgrade the bits (as they give up . i know they will)
im looking at spending œ400 max i want the most hardcore frame and wheels possible for that. im not expecting any decent suspension and that will be definet upgrade as will cranks etc i dont want loads of gears just double up front and 9 on bck

ive been looking at ''gt chucker'' whats ure views on theese bikes can they go up hills and along roads comfily or something else ??? sugestions welcome lads n ladies

  • the giant stp 2 is a good bike for œ299.99 and if you order from cyclestore.co.uk you get œ29.99 to spend on upgrades. it would leave you œ100 out of your budget to upgrade if you want to.

well hopefully my brother (minted) will help me out aswell but im not banking on it as he's moving abroad in next couple of weeks.
If he helps then i shall get a nice hardcore full suspension bike (ive been dreaming of a norco six 3)
Thats the only full suspension bike ive found worth having for a decent price.

    Dreams can come true.

And im sorry if my punctution is poor or non existent but im dyslexic
  • if you're new you might as well stick with hardtail for a while to learn the skills. i bought a norco sasquatch 2007 hardtail the over day for œ800. had to work hard for that lol.

Well ive been riding on nd off for yrs, iv'e always pushed my bikes to breaking point, hence why i have no bike
I did really like my last full suspnsion bike , but seeing ure point i think i will stick with hardtail and master things, as looking bk i did reck a fair few back wheels.
Iv'e seen some gd norco's on sale for around œ500 so its easily obtainable with some hard graft and perswasive talking to my beloved brother.

thanx freeman ( had to say that not sure why, I love halflife games too much i think)
