I am thinking of buying some new summer tyres. I have seen this months mag and noticed that the michelin xcr dry 2 were only mention in the heavy duty test. Does anyone have any experience with the normal ones.
All help appreciated.

I use the XCR AT tyres and they are great in the dry and rocky terrain. You could go for an AT up front and a Dry 2 on the back for a good combo.

cheers for the reply. Also do you know if they do any bigger sized than 2.0?
I have heard that the XCR AT is quite slow??

The AT tyres can come in a 2.2 but the side knobs shred extremely quickly. I've never had a problem with the 2.0s. And they certainly aren't slow.

Go for the 2.0s. I've had mine on for a year, all through winter (bit slippy!), and they have been great and only just started to need replacing.

I have XCR dry2's on both my klien + scott.. I think as they are top notch especially on front as they allow you to really lean the bike. The older version which is cheaper is the XCR, I only used this on the back but it seemed to work much better than the bontrager super x revolt or panaracer fire xc which were on before it. I think michelins only come in 2" versions.
one of my bikes Scott scale 20
Another one 2004 klein attitude xv
and finally 2006 Giant anthem2Sh....itespeed http://www.pinkbike.com/photo/1729687/
