The Supers were an excelent fork that year, Better internals than even the more modern Jrs, None of the spiking that was complained about all the time.
Supers would be my choice, Both 170mm right?

If its possible to have a ride of both properly then do it, If not going from what I know the HSCV damping of the Supers kicks the arse of the SSV damping in the Jrs.

i would go for the supers because there generally a better fork0

They just look like stones have flicked up, Theyl be fine as long as the edges of the chips dont feel too sharp.
