bashrings

Would I be able to fit a bashring onto the existing chainrings/cranks of my bike - it has got shimano hollowtech 1 with a triple chainring, and the spider is the middle chainring. The large chainring is only about 5mm from the front mech.

yeah but would i still be able to keep the large chainring? It's 44t - a lot seem to replace the outer chainring or only go up to 30-odd teeth. Also do some of them go round the top of the outer chainring or just sit next to it?
