So, who on here has actually eaten horse meat?

I have, in Holland some years ago - both steak and sausages. [:p]

I have. Only once though and didn't know it was horse.

I have however sliced up lots of horse meat into itsy little pieces at work. [:I]

I promised myself I wouldn't ever.. but here we go..(MySpace)

Quite disgusting most of the times though. Here in Holland we use lots of slices of meat on bread, so we have loooads of different kinds of meet. Ends up with me having to slice cowtongue as well and it's really quite horrible. It still looks like a tongue, it's all sticky and yucky and you need to touch it lots to be able to slice it. And there's also all the beefs that are sealed and when you open them so you can slice them up there's a waterfall of blood coming out. Earlier today I had the luck of all the blood going places it shouldn't and having customers shout: "Eek! There's blood on the wall!" .. made me giggle though. [^]

does anyone know that most imported salami and all those foriegn sossidge type cured things in the supermarket , are chock full of donkey ?
its mostly the french and dutch ones i hear.

Yes, it's what gives it such a distinctive and delicous taste. For a few weeks after it was revealed in the media, you couldn't get Salami anywhere! [:p]
