I'm liking the idea of it being 15lbs most of all and looks a decent spec.
Worth investing in?
EDIT : I'd be getting it on the ride to work deal so would be a bit cheaper than that.

Is it the same on roadies in that its just personal preference between brands?

Pretty much. The shifters are different, in that Shimano brake levers move in the same way as their MTB dual control levers (scared the crap out of me playing with Alex's Sora levers, just didn't feel safe with the levers moving around). Campagnolo has shift levers seperate from the brake levers. Of course, you should ride Campag, because I ride Campag...0

SHimano is nicer than campag! Campag wheels are nicer though!Sram is meant to be unorthidox but very good.

That bike comes with Ritchey WCS wheels though! The day Ritchey produce an item that isn't totally gorgeous i'll consider others!

Remember though, the bike counts for nothing if you can't ride it. My roadie at the moment is a good few pounds heavier than Alex's, and I'm probably a couple of stone heavier. I stopped and waited for him about 6 times on our road ride on Thursday, and I wasn't even going quick...0

It's gonna be used mainly for commuting and for getting in the miles of an evening more than anything.
Whichever bike I get I won't do it full justice.
