got a couple of questons regarding some upgrades for a Sepsh Hardrock Pro. Just to say that i am not the lightest rider at 20st and that the bike is mainly used at the trail centres with a bit of commuting and local trails thrown in for good measure.
Firstly, fork upgrade. I recently had the OEM Marzocchi MZ Race LO fork tuned and then had it fail on its first ride. The LBS i bought the bike from offered me a free upgrade to a Rockshox Recon 351 which i took up. Is this a good fork? I had been looking to upgrade to a Marzocchi MX Comp ETA (as recommende in other threads).
Having got this new fork i am also looking to upgrade the wheels to a set of custom rim built round either hope xc or hope pro 11. Are there any recommendations on which rim/hub combo for my wieght/riding needs?

stick with recons, they are better than the marzocchis. About the wheels. Hope pro 11 and mavic xc 717

Just seen a message on a different thread saying that DT are stronger than mavic....is this a consensus? Had been looking at either DT 5.1 or Mavic 717/719.0

Not heard much about DT 5.1
Considering how much praise Mavic rims get, if it were me, I'd be buying the mavic ex721s, since they are the most widely recommended rims for pretty much everything.

Been quoted œ236 for mavic 719 on hope pro 11 hubs with black double butted spokes from stif. Is this a good wheel build? Has anyone seen any better deals for a similar build?0

Sounds good. Stif and Merlin are regarded highly as wheel builders, try out merlin. Those rims and hubs are also renown for their quality.
