same thing happened near me the pther day, 2 chinooks flying over Huddersfield, never seen any army presence at all before

I get Hercules regularly flying low over my house. Sometimes at about 3 in the bloody morning.

I live near the American bases in suffolk. We get Helis and planes flying round 24/7. But i hardly notice them, I got used to it I suppose.

Theres nothing going on here that I know of.. haven't seen/heard any red arrows.. though I never really know much about what's going on. We do get the odd Chinook flying over now and again.

Think I found out why they were flying around, it's either for the Isle of Wight festival, or there's some comemerative thing going on down at Gosport, in which case, I'd keep the planes in the air, otherwise their fuc<s></s>king wheels would get half-inched the second they land.

We get extremely low flying planes on a regular basis, its hard to get used to a sound that makes animals run in terror, and drowns out any other noises.

As for the arrows, busy day for them. They're due at cosford this afternoon.

Being 2 miles away from a radar training base, we get a lot of low flying aircraft, some even low enough to shake the tv antenna and distort the picture.
