Hello,
As some might know you can know buy the caplier for the new Moto brake off chainreaction, well, all the parts for it anyway...
When added up all the parts needed (ex. pads) seems to come to under œ70.
I'm running old school Minis at the moment. I was just wondering if it would be possible to use my present levers and resevoir etc with the Moto caliper. If so how well do you predeict it would perform..?
Cheers,
Oh, and as a side note, could someone please tell me how the new mono minis (well, the '05 ones) compare with the '01 Minis...
Cheers,
- Rich

the mono minis, compared to the old school minis, are IN MY OPINION ONLY;
not as powerful,
dont look as good,
less modulation,
not as reliable.
but they are both very good brakes.
oh, and you got a cool wavey rotor with the pre mono minis.

Intersting... I'm running Minis atm... My front feels perfect, lovely bite.. but my rear never feels right... had 3 diff types of pads in and 3 diff types of fluid! (using a nice expensive AP racing fluid atm...
The main trouble i'm having is a creaky caliper. It seems to be pushing apart and fluid escapes from the seams. The two hex bolts that fix the halfs are so tight I've gotten through 3 4mm alan keys trying to get them apart... and i dont want to try my nice park tools one incase it does the same... any ideas?
This was the main reason i was looking into Monos, as there wouldn't be this seam leek problem due to the mononess... I was thinking they'd be more powerfull...

you can use the mono caliper but not the Moto caliper. re your problem a bigger diameter hose might help.
But i feel that you have not had the frame mounts faced.

No you're right there... It's a 90s trailster fram on atm that I sprayed. I was carefull of the mounts but obv not carefull enough...
Are there any garage tools that can do this rather than spending crap loads to get a shop to do it..?
