DMR single speed conversion kit?

Ok, i did a search for this on the forums, but came up with nothing!
Basically, I run an '06 Mongoose Amasa Comp, which i wish to run single speed. I have a 34T RaceFace evolve DH crankset which i really want to keep (!) Basically I was thinking of buying the DMR SS kit, is this an ok ratio at 34t-16T?
Also can anyone recommend a good chain tensioner?
If it's of any use, I run halo SAS wheels, with the standard issue hubs supplied at purchase.

wha size wheels? 24/26? i use an on-one sprung tension, œ10 cheap and cheerful but does the job i ask of it.
