Hi guys how ya doing, im BMXer whos now taking up MTB.
Im looking for a bit of advice, bike buying wise. Im after a hard tail that is a bit of an all-rounder, some thing thats gona take some punishment on dirt Jumps, yet still has practical geometry for riding trails, XC etc every so often.
My friend had suggested getting pure dirt Jumping bike, but like I said I don't really wanna get specific for that, so while searching some brands i came across the Kona Hoss Deluxe. This looks just the ticket for me, as its pretty beefy, has similar geometry to thier jumping frames, yet is light and nibble enough for trails, XC etc.
I know the Hoss was designed with Big blokes in mind but im not big so im a lil unsure. I had a lil ride around on 16" today at the bike shop and it felt nice. (Although havent rode a MTB in many many years so dont really know how its supposed to feel! lol) What are your thoughts on it for a smaller rider, im 5'7 tall, will the angles and lengths on the bike be right for me? the frame doesn't seem to dissimilar to other bikes out there really in terms of frame size, its more like they say its for big blokes due to it being beefy like a jump frame rather than it being over sized.
whats you thoughts, any one got one?
thanks for your help [:D]

Don't know tbh mate. What I do know is that some bike shops try to put you on the wrong size frame just cos they may have one left in that size. Craft devils. Beware.0
