I finally get my road bike ordered tomorrow w00t.
I think two people know what it may be here. Its not great but its only going to do 250/300mile a week.
I however probably wont manage those distances like i used to for a little while.

Sometimes it overheats. You have to make sure it's in a ventilated place all the time.

My comute is 18miles each way. so 38 monday to friday. Then between 70/100 on a Sunday morning. I used to do this on a XC bike about 2 or 3 years ago.

100 miles on a sunday morning...Wouldn't that take around 6-8 hours+ on an XC bike?
I can hardly manage the 12 miles to bristol when i cant be bothered to get a train ticket.

If its a Midlands ride I know a fair few roadie routes at present so may be able to help plan a route. Get to go through a place called Badger [:D].
Im not really that fast, plus the idea of skinny wheels make me feel uncomfy.

Skinny wheels feel funny. I've got uberthick 28mm ones though (ooooooh, 28mm!) so it's not quite like the ones I see race past me... [:D]
Not singlespeed is it?

I've got some slicks on the marin at the moment. I've taken to late night road rides just to get my mind of exams, I average at about 14mph on that, and it was quite windy. I quite fancy a road bike, might look into buying one.
