Star nut - included with Rock Shox forks?

Alright folks,
Just ordered myself some Pike 454's...anyone know if a star nut is included or do i need to buy one?

all the RS forks i have bought have had one included but that might just be a nice LBS.

Probably not, they're only œ2 though.

they usually come with the headset NOT the forks
as simple said, you can get them for a couple of quid

Normally with the headset. But get a headlock instead much better.

Well in my experince with star nuts they slipped.
Headlock, is so much easier to fit no fannying about with a hammer etc.
Just drop the headlock down the steerer, screw the base in preload and you're off.

Buy a headlock for it, it's a much nicer system than a starnut, you can get them off CRC but I've seen Amoeba ones in my LBS for about œ6 got one on my bike and it works brilliantly

you can't run a headlock with pikes, i run a hope head doctor with mine.

from experience, head doctors are a real pain to fit, but once its in there, they stay put. i had to remove the o ring to get mine into the steerer on my RS Revelations

I've always used an FSA Conix, never had a problem with them.
