Summers here! time for Shorts!

Hi!
Im looking to buy myself proper riding shorts, up untill now ive used cheap ones from matalan, but im looking to get ones with:
-The under padded shorts included (the one with the saddle padding or anti-numbarse thing!)
-Plenty of Pockets for storing crap like phones, keys etc.
-A good make like Fox etc with like a funky graphic, not like boring looking plain black or something, cool looking ones!
- and around 45 quid (cheaper if poss) or more if i need to

Reccommendations please!

you can get padded lycra shorts which i reckon work slightly better as they dont move around like baggies with a pad in do. sombrio make some pretty cool looking shorts. or just go down tk maxx and have a browse. can normally get some bargains

You can't go wrong with Endura Humvees. Tha Khaki/Black ones don't have the funky graphics, but they're still pretty distinctive. They come with the padded undershorts too, and have shed loads of pockets and vents.

Revolution Trail Shorts from Edinburgh Bicycle Co-Operative - œ35 incl removable padded undershort and made exclusively for them by Endura. Got mine earlier this week....v nice!

i wear my shorts all year round.unless its really really cold. endura humvees look nice. and arnt too expensive either

Do you lot wear knee pads? Dont you find it annoying having a gap between the top of the pads and the bottom of the shorts?

I really dont like riding with normal shorts, normally wear 3/4s.

Ive been wearing shorts well for the last 3 years biking straight through the winter!!

I have the khaki and black ones very comfy and loads of pocket space and an inner padded shorts which are detachable

if you cant ride it, it cant be fun!!

These humvees sound good, but id rather something eyecatching, they look a bit plain to me, they dont stand out like, i like big graphix and nice colours. sorry to be picky, any other suggestions?? thanks

I wear a cut down pair of black army trousers. They're the new rip stop issue ones (called cs95), in black. They're really comfortable, got two cargo pockets and a hidden security pocket which is perfect for keeping keys in as its really deep (its designed to hold a baton). The best bit is they're only ¶œ17 and very hard wearing. You can get then from http://www.addlestonearmysurplus.co.uk/ They're down an MOD police pattern trousers in the trouser section.

i use azonic shorts there a bit boring but i got them for œ25, they are well made, airy and have nice big pockets

Endura make some great shorts, a bit expensive but very well made and should last a while.
I got something similar to these last year and they don't make you look a complete prong off the bike too if you just want them as shorts for mooching around in
