im currently building my first BSX bike (iva lways been interested in mountain biking, have rode bmx for years, then rode most terrains on an 18" frame mountain bike)
i currently dont have the biggest budget, im using a 14" frame already have the 9" gearing derailier and shifter bars/stem etc.
basically i want to no what you'd go for - 24" or 26" wheels
and also what forks would you suggest?

any help is much appriciated.

if possible could you post up pics of you bsx bikes ?

Cheers

what is the frame? as that will determine the fork, and 26" wheels.

not sure what frame, its just a steel 14" frame with a 1 1/8" steerer and integarted headset, heavy(ish) but i can seem to throw it around well on the local track, and it was strong when i first got it, but the forks on it wer sum cheap things that snapped when droppin a wall... used to run 26s but aas now goin to disc's instead of vbrakes, andwith the possibility, i thought id ask... so.. which 26s do ppl suggest ?
i kno im asking alot of questions but im not that clued up on the best parts, i know my way round a bike as i used to work in a bike shop, but that was in my bmx days so never took interest in mtb.. till now.

ok as your back ground is BMX i would sugest the Marz. DJ1 (or 2 or 3) or posibly a RS Argyle. wheels any good sealed bearing hubs eg Hope pro 2 or Halo spindoctors. both of these can be switched fron 20mm to 9mm Qr. Rims the best you can get but again it come down to personal choice. Mavic make good rims but they tend to break when hit hard while other tend to bend rather than break. and i would go 26" as the roll faster.

Whats your budget? as that will determine how much to spend on wheels and forks.

Personally, i'd be looking for a cheap identiti dr jekyll or something on ebay/southern downhill.

i would searhc ebay if i had more money, but in time i want a decent DH bike so waiting to save and spend big money on that, the BSX bike is just for fun and using at the local track/trails.
my budget is around œ100 for the wheels maybe œ100 for the forks, ubt iv seen plebnty marz. dj's on ebay for around 50.
