will differ every time. sometimes its quick, other times it can take months.

When my commuting bike got pinched it took two and a half months.

Nag the insurance people get on there back threaten to cancel raise a complaint after a few weeks generally make a nuisance of yourself.

The company will offer to replace your bike from a perefered supplier they may offer a list of bikes, if you are not happy with either the bike(s) or supplier offered tell them they are obliged to replace froma dealer of your choice, however if their preffered supplier can offer the same or a better bike for less than you choice of dealer the company only have to pay you what there supplier would have chargef them.

its happened to me twice,1st time about 1 month,2nd time they sent an investigator and it took 9 months!

dEPENDS WHO YOU'RE WITH AND HOW YOU HANDLE IT: TRY GOING SIDEWAYS THROUGH THE SYSTEM THEN ASK FOR THE NEXT PERSON UP EACH TIME. TRY AND REACH A DECISION MAKER RATHER THAN A CLERK. ESTABLISH A COMMON INTEREST WITH WHO YOU'RE DEALING WITH. IF THEY DON'T GET BACK TO YOU, EMAIL THEM EVERY HOUR TELLING THEM YOU'RE WAITING FOR THEIR REPLY AND HOW MUCH EARNING YOU'RE LOSING WHILST WAITING.
WHO'S THE COMPANY? DO THEY DO BIKE TRAVEL INSURANCE?!

Not quite the same but I am in the process of claiming off some 400yr old bloke who reversed into my car and the insurance company says 10-12 weeks IF there is no contest/argument etc!! useless

NFU were very quict for me. Mind i did have to send out recipts for the bike etc.LBC helped out too.
