This weird thing is happening to my monitor- It is a 19" flat screen. Recently pixels across the screen keep flashing when I use it. Its hard to explain, but it looks as if I have dead pixels, although they move around the screen and flash a bit. Any idea's whats wrong?

Yup, was in as far as it would go. This is super anoying though! Reckon its more likely to a problemn with the monitor or graphics card?

Could be a dodgy connection anywhere between the graphics card and the inside of the monitor. will more than likely be a dodgy monitor though.

I will try Mian's link, but I have a feeling it wont work because as far as I can tell, its not specific pixels, it's random ones. It mostly occurs in the darkest places in a pic/webpage/game. Oh, forgot to mention- I run two screens and I have just noticed that it doesnt seem to happen with the second screen

Right, I have worked out it is something to do with the monitor because I dragged an image that was full of the "flashing pixels" onto the other screen and they went away. Now I need to work out if its the monitor or the DVI cable. If it is the monitor, reckon I can get a replacement? Its only about 6 months old

Most good manufacturers do. best email them and ask, i wouldnt say it was a pixel problem, more of a system problem. or something causing interfierance (sp?). dead pixels usually stay the same colour constantly.

Just out of interest, is it a plasma? or lcd, our plasma tv has started doing something similar recently. we get red sparkles across the screen every now and then.
