I have heard this before. I shall try it on Mrs4FSR's uber stereo soon and let you know.

When I say UBER I mean UBER.

2 Qaud 405 Mk2's, each running in mono ( one per channel) wired to PROPER studio speakers.

dang, i got a different model of the PS1. Don't think it has those audio outs.
Sounds fine enough through my stereo, but I'm not yet anal enough to pretend I know what a 'good' system sounds like

anyway I wouldn't exactly say uber, definitely retro though.

Im not sure a ps1 could be that good, alright maybe but comparable to a 3k cd player? seems unlikely.

proper studio speakers? what ya got?

acutally theres less in many circumstances, on a really high end cd player you'll have a button to turn the digital display off, and it'll probably be in 2 boxes, the idea is to keep interference as low as possible.

In the ps1 theres mostly non-audio gubins that'll be interfering with the audio stuff, at least the theory goes...
