m not going to uni for another 2 years yet but... wheresthe best place to go for some local trails/ dh b'coz i dont want to end up at a uni with no where to ride [:D]

Cardiff??? Perfect for Cwmcarn/other places and supposed to be pretty good as a Uni as well.

I went to Manchester. No hills there. I live in Edinburgh now and have met some guys that ride at uni here. For a weekend ride you have all the 7stanes rides, glentress, innerlethian, etc. Thing is you either need to have a car or have a riding buddy that has a car. Only complaint I've heard from Ed Uni MTB'ers is that they can't get to the trail. If you can take a car to Uni in Edinburgh not only do you have the nations best on your doorstep, but an endless supply of riding partners to go with it.......0

dont go to a uni just to find somewhere good to ride. go to a uni that has a good course/ campus.
