Haven't used Hayes brakes before, but can't fault my Juicy's.

It depends how you prefer your brakes to feel. Some like the brakes to be all on or all off. In which case go for the 9's. Or if you want to slow down but not stop instantly always, then go for the 7's. Having had both I'd personally say go for the 7's as they stop me and my heavy bighit without any problems both in times of need and when the speed's a touch out of my control

hayes.
hi peepshi peeps0 -
Juicy 5's rule. Stop you quick.
Awesome0 -
I've had both, and hayes are more 'digital' although have better CPS.
I'd go for hope mini as they're more of a 'one piece' design.

I have hayes but id say avid, for starters everyone who has used them say they are really good, and the hayes 9 has been around a while now.

From looking at the responses here, it seems that there is little to tell between the two. In defense of the Juicy 5, I have not had to do any maintenance since I bought mine. They are very easy to live with.
I have no experience of the Hayes 9. They may be very good also0 -
All the HFX9s I've tried I've really liked, very powerful, but yeah, not that much modulation. I've tried a Juicy 7, and tbh, I really didn't like it, the Hayes felt much nicer, and the Juicy was pretty spongey.
Go for the HFX9.

i have one hayes and one juicy on my bike at the moment. i would get the hayes if i were you, but like what has been said before it depends on what modulation and type of brake you want.
