take travel wise? was thinking about getting these ..... after my dad gives me œ20 quid a C for my General Certificate of Secondary Education exams [8)]

I'm sure there is one with triples in roam and it looks lush as a hardcore trail bike, but I cant be sure its a 6.

I get;
œ25 for a C
œ75 for a B
and
œ100 for an A.

Unfortunately, i'm not expecting any A's. A couple of B's and the rest C's is on the cards though [:D]

my parents and nan just gave me a grand total of about œ600 or something like that for when i finished my exams. I got one A 5 B's 2 C's and a D

I got slapped, and copped a lot of abuse from my folks for only getting a B in maths during my GCSEs. By the time I took my A-levels, I was almost permamently stoned, so I didn't do that well. Still passed everything though.

My parents gave me nothing for my GCSE results. That's the way it should be IMO, otherwise you could easily end up working hard for the wrong reasons.

Yeah, but you're supposed to be working for GCSEs in order to do well for yourself, so that you can then earn money later in life. You're working to get yourself good grades, not to give your parents good grades.

I hate to say this but GCSE's are totally pointless, A-levels are slightly moreso, but everyone, no matter how clever or hardworking is so totally boned once they hit university that it doesn't really matter. 2.1 FTW

I wouldn't say that a degree is pointless, or A-levels or even GCSEs. It shows to an employer to what standard you are able to learn, would you prefer to emply someone with 2 GCSEs or someone with 12 GCSE, 7 A Levels and a degree?

I got no money for 7A* 2A and a B at GCSE, and 4A's at AS and A2. In fact my dad just said it was a pity I got the B because it "spoiled the pattern".
