Finger cramps whilst riding

On long descents I often get painful cramps in the two outside fingers on both hands. Its only when I'm covering the brakes and doing so for over a minute or so. Any thing I can alter to get rid of them?

Giroscopic ball?
When i had my brake on my right hand and covered it, i used to get cramp in my middle finger and it would cross right over my index finger until i could stop and make it better...
Try adjusting the lever so it sits a little closer to your grip/bar.
Also, if you use two fingers, try using one.
Good luck [:D]

Oh please someone give a definitive answer to this. I have the same problem. I heard that when peaty broke his knuckles he wrapped gaffa tape around the grips to thicken them at the end and provide a more ergonomic feel.
Anyone else find this?
Sorry if I make no sense - i'm pissed0 -
I always get it on the deliverence decent at 'tress. Rarely anywhere else though.

Same here! When I ride the pentlands I'm fine, if I'm down Glen T I end up in pain. Be it the un-named, the new piss-easy freeride, spooky wood or whatever. I think it might be that my forks can't deal with the kitty litter. Upgrading to rock shox revelation u-turn air when my bonus arrives.0

Don't use the brakes [;)]0

Isnt it just arm-pump? Only way to get rid is to ride harder more often untill your arms get used to it.
havent fallen off,
im just having a rest

Cant you get something taken out of your wrist in an operation and that then stops it?!?!

Can't see any reason why you would continuously cover the brakes for a minute or longer. But yeah, better grips/gloves and also try a different handlebar setup, my wife had this but a bar with more backsweep solved it for her.

I have upgraded to a 720 mm wide Scandium bar with a decent rise and backsweep, put on ODI lock on grips. I have seen some flared grips recently, anyone think they'll work?0
