im just getting back into rideing my bike which i put together my self. its a Dh/jump frame at the moment it has marzocchi bomber z5 2001 and deore hydrolic disc at the front.
when i got the bombers i had an option of air or sping in eather 80mm or 100mm travel. i got stuck with the 80mm airs since they didt have 100mm in stock and my discount expired on the day. i know theres a way of converting to 100mm by changing a spring could any one tell me were to get this spring from and part no if poss.
as for the my deore disc i want to get more power out of them as i have ripped the thread off the reach adjuster. i cant find any spares for the lever so im thinkging of changeing the leaver to one with a bigger cylinder. any ideas on what leaver to get?
any help would be helpfull

iirc it is not possible to change the travel on the '01 forks as the lowers were different for the different travel options.
replace the brake lever with the same and get a bigger disc and adaptor, or just buy new.

ok so for the discs do you know of anywere can i get an adaptor? i'v serched the websites for my local bike shops but no luck. my fav bike shop seems to have changed, before they had a little corner with hardcore parts now its all road bikes and parts.
out of curiosity why do the shimano levers look the same but have different prices?0 -
adaptors from any where. any of the web shops have them and most LBS's will have a few in.
shimano lever assys. different grades of materials. and some have different sized pistons it depends on what it was designed to work with.
personally i would pop down to halfrauds and get one of their own brand front brakes.
