I am going to be servicing my rear hope bulb hub soon and was just wondering if they are ok to do or if it would be better to take it in to an LBS. I have serviced a shimano hub before but apparently the hopes are different inside. Any help welcome.

Thanks but i had already been on that. I was just wondering if when i open it up bits are going to fly everywhere? have any of you had experience servicing these hubs?
Cheers

yes things can go flying. as when you pull the cassette carrier off there is nothing to hold the pawls in place.
put it in a clear plastic bag and seperate if you are concerned. i did not and nothing went flying but i know of people who have lost bits.
