Bike Security

After months of indecisive thought as to what bike to get, I finally decided upon a Gary Fisher Cake 4 DLX. Obviously having shelled out the most I have ever spent on a bike I really want to make life as difficult as possible for the thieving scum we have to share our air with.
Is it worth signing up to this scheme http://www.bikeregister.com/ ?
What security methods and devices do you have in place?

Get a wall anchor and heavy duty chain to lock the bike to when at home. Things like security tags make the bike easy to identify if it ever gets retrieved, but doesn't really deter thieves that are going to break the bike down.
Make sure that you're not being followed home as well and your house isn't being watched by anyone after a ride; that's how the thieves who stole my bike knew where we stored it after we moved them from the garage (took them two attempts to steal it).
Insurance is definitely the best thing you could do. Don't just think that because it's in your house that it's automatically insured as well, sometimes insurance companies only cover bikes up to a certain value. Buy some insurance that will cover you on the street.
