My telly has a DVI-I input thingy and i want to play my Ps3 in high def. However, I can only find cables that are HDMI to DVI-D. Is there any cables out there that are HDMI to DVI-I, Or is nt HD possible through a DVI-I beacause I thought it was? Im confused, I thought DVI-D was only analogue so why would you have HDMI cables only to DVI-D when DVI-I is a combination of DVI-D and DVI-A?Please help.
Thanks.

DVI-I carries analog and digital signal. DVI-D is digital, DVI-A is analog.

Seeing as HDMI is digital, and your DVI-I carries both digital and analog, a male HDMI to female DVI-D cable (like this would be perfect. I'd look on eBay also.

Keep in mind DVI doesn't carry audio. So you'll have your HDMI from the PS3 to the DVI on your TV, and you'll need to use the other 'main' output port on your PS3 to connect the two red and white plugs (composite audio) to your TV. Unless you have big fancy seperate speakers, in which case optical audio...

    Hope this helps!
