Need Help Choosing Wheels Please

Hi all,

Just wanted abit of advice i have around œ150 for a 'Frow' around wheelset, what would you recomend, i ride freeride abit of dh and dirt so i need some preety secure wheels just for my spare bike this is.. its a hardtail 26" wheels needed.

Mavic EX721s on Halo Spin Doctors.

A little over œ150 I think but you won't be needing to change it for a while.

And give people more than 6 minutes to reply ffs..

possibly some halo spin doctors on some mavic ex721's. if oyu can save around another œ100 you'll be able to get some ex721s on hope pro 2's - on of the best DH wheelsets around and the hubs are full convertable

not crc as iv heard theyre wheelsets arnt the best. dont quote me if im wrong.

merlin cycles or stif, if you are a heavy rider, EX729's may be better, but 721's should be okay... if you cant afford Spin Doctors, XT hubs are cheap from merlin, but i am not too sure of their longetivity with DH

Get them built on www.chainreactioncycles.com , their wheel builds are fine. BTW, go for Spin Doctors on EX721s.

Even wheels with XC/AM rims from there last years, I ran XC rims with Hope XC hubs on a full-susser for absolutely years with no probs until I eventually submitted to the allure of Hope Pro II hubs because I wanted 20 thru axle up front.

My advice would be save extra and go for the tried and trusted combo of Hope Pro II hubs with Mavic rims
