Rigid

I'm having a serious think about getting rigid forks with QR dropouts.
My current forks are old/broken/siezed up.... and yellow.
I'm looking for some new ones costing not too much money.
I was wondering how much difference having rigid is compared to sus.
I will be using them for dirtjumping + minimal street.
Any tips/info on rigid forks for dirtjumping compared to sus.
Thanks

You'll soon learn to be more fluid with rigid forks

If you mess up a landing it kills your wrists though.

Sometimes it overheats. You have to make sure it's in a ventilated place all the time.

Something round here tastes bad. Could be plain old bad taste.

your wrists will cry,. and you'll spend the first month scared of riding down curbs.
enjoy

Will i end up riding smoother if i buy rigid? take it I will.
Also do they give you more speed when pedaling, as they're not constantly going up and down from the weight of you?
Good idea?
Whats the difference between these? If they are both in black

a)
yes probably, if you stick with i for long enough.
b) no, not really, you still have a direct drive to the rear wheel, energy spent in the front suspension is pretty negligeable, and you may go slower cos you'll be bouncing about more

the only real difference (as far as i can see) is the angle of the drop outs on the TB2's is different. other than that i think there basically the same.
and you'll be able to carry more speed through a set on rigids 'cus you can pump more efficiently as you only have the compression in the tyres absorbing the energy.0 -
Ok, so overall for about 50/60 pounds will these be ok for dirt jumping?

yea there not bad. i dunno about the TB2's but the original TB's were quite short, so you tend to find your headangle drops a lil.0
-
Ahh, will be a bad thing?

not really. its something you'll get used to. i've always had rigids on my static and tbh its not really that noticeable, where as some people seem to notice it more.0
