...a 120 mile round trip to see a girl and you were stood up, would you consider, at all, of giving her another chance?

I'm still not sure whether or not I should forgive the chick earlier in the week.

oh sorry, should have explained. When I got down there, I talked for ages on the phone with her, trying to convince her to come down. So she didn't totally blow me off (unfortunately...lol)

And to be fair to her, half way there I got a call saying not to come down, so I could have cut the journey in half for myself. But then, she was still cancelling last minute.

If shes not going to meet you after youve just driven 60 miles just to meet her, then shes not worth bothering with. Its never going to go anywhere. If you do eventually coax her out of her shell, she'll look to you for her confidence. When you eventually feel crowded by her, which you will, you wont be able to have your own space. You'll find it very hard to get rid of her. Dont get me wrong, its nice to have someone looking upto you for a while, but it gets too much.

yeah, she just phoned me actually, what a coincidence. I told her straight up, I'm not making any more effort. no more money on phone calls. no more petrol. if she wants me enough, come get me.

Im not sure I do either. Partly the fact that in a decent car i dont really care about driving 120miles because I enjoy it.

Also it doesn't really make much odds how far you travelled you still got stood up.
