Shifter Question

Is it possible to use a 9 speed shifter with an 8 speed set up, or is the indexing just too narrow?
TW's 8 speeders are on the way out and it's too much œœœœœœœ to change the whole chain set in a 1er.

no, 9spd won't work on 8spd.
Sram Attack shifter's com in 8spd & work with Shimano rear mech's
Also (old) XT shifters come in 8spd.

These are much better than shimano ones, they will improve your shifting and are cheaper.
