Just been emailed by Alpine Elements about Hotel Chamois in Les Gets stating that there is an error in their brochure and that wine is not included with meals FOC as stated. I was there last year and it was.
Just thought I would let you know as a director of a travel company (in case others have received this) I know that this is illegal and that the consumer protection act and the sale of good act state that they have to honour such commitments even if made in mistake.
I have emailed them stating this and suggest others affected do so too.
They are a great company when you are out there but are crap in the UK. This just smacks of cost cutting!

You will probably find that there is a claus in the broucher saying that errors are not there responsibilty, and if they have told you before hand then you probably don't have a foot to stand on. But you can do no wrong emailing them, as if they are a good company they should stand by customers.

Agree that the wine was crap but it was free and did save on their bar! Clauses in terms and conditions dont help in this sense as it comes down to a 'sold as seen' legal issue. Just think it is underhand. As I said above, the people who work at the chalets are great and the holidays are really good but the company element (bookings etc) leaves a lot to be desired.0

I couldn't agree less, heard many poor reports from them, especially from a few years back, though they seemed to have been picking their game up, but maybe not
