Overclocking GPU and CPU

Hey, well my AMD Athlon 2.1ghz cpu died a couple of months ago and since then i've been using a AMD Duron 1.29ghz. I want to start playing battlefield 2 again, but i doubt it'll run on a 1.29ghz as the min on the box is 2ghz. Is there anyway of boosting the cpu i have to 2ghz or faster? or will i have to get a whole new system? i have a socket A mobo so it's not worth upgrading the cpu.
I also have an nVidia fx5200 128mb and was wondering how and whether it was worth overclocking this?
If none of that's gonna work i think im gonna have to get a new system [:(]Problem is i dunno where to start with computers these days. i'll have a budget of about œ300. dont need a monitor and have a case, so it's just mobo, cpu, gpu and maybe memory (atm i have 1gb of geil)
Cheers [8D]

The old <1ghz Durons overclock really well, not sure about the newer ones though.

Sometimes it overheats. You have to make sure it's in a ventilated place all the time.

Unless that Duron has pretty beastly cooling it aint going anywhere near 2GHz - your power bills and cooling requirements would be better spent on getting a faster PC! In "Computer Guys" thread I specced a full PC for <œ400 and its a pretty decent box - have a look there as you could be pleasantly surprised what you can get nowadays for your money.0

Try running it for a laugh - you might just be able to run it at the most basic settings at 640x480.0

People are 2x4 pixels buildings are 5x7 pixels. Could be fun - easier to aim though0
