What is the differance between 11-34 and 11-32and all the other combos of rear cassette is it about speed? Also do freehub bodys share a standard fitting for the cassette or do they differ?[:D]

All mtb freehub bodies are the same relative to cassettes, but they are usually specific to hubs. The cassettes are about gear range. An 11-34 gives you a lower bottom gear but the jumps are bigger, it is more about traction than speed really. Spinning in 34 will be more tractionful than stomping in 32 on the same hill.

but often to not cause wheel spin you may need to use a higher gear. That's why you set off in 2nd or 3rd when driving in snow or sand

oh I thought it was normally a 11-32 or a 12-34. TBH I rarely use then 32 anyway but I like having 11 and 12 at the top end. having more cogs in a similar gear isn't a bad thing if you use that sort of gear a lot, the smaller cogs wear out a lot faster so if you have 11,12,14 rather then just 12,14 you might get more life out of your cassette
