For general xc use I am considering one of the above. Which is the better fork for money and is air better than coil?

i prefer air in shorter forks but thats just me ive never realy used a coil fork 150mm or less only big dc forks and stuff.

Models are 302 u-turn Tora vs MX Pro 20070

hallo mate, not sure what tora I have, its 85-130 travel and works real nice, in fact it works better my fox talas when you wind it back up, it comes straight up. Not like the fox that comes up when it feels like it. For a cheap fork its not to be sneezed at, there seems to be too much snobbery when it comes to forks etc.0

Tora's look really nice and they come with u-turn. However MX's have really nice damping. Get the Tora's if you're planning to use u-turn a lot, otherwise go for Mx's.0

go for the mx's i think their much better

I managed to get the MX Pro supplied and fitted last night for œ145 at Leisure Lakes - well pleased, taking it out tonight to have a go!!!0
-
How!?
I paid œ189 for mine (and I shopped around) and I had to fit them myself....

No, it's not the ETA model. The RRP on my MX Pro 100mm was œ160 but I then said Evans was œ145 and asked them to price match. Then haggled to get fitted for free if I paid cash. Missed going out last night to try them out but going tonight instead.0

The mx's are probably going to be more reliable than the toras.0
