hi,

another n00b question! ;) i have a gt aggressor 2.0. i bought it 2nd hand. i think it's pre 2000. the front mount is IS (rock shox tora) but i don't think the rear is either IS nor hayes mount. i have a pic here:

is there an adapter i can get from somewhere so i can fit IS disc brakes to the rear?

what do people think of the mavic cross ride disc wheels?

thanks!
jules.

If that is even supposed to be a disc mount, it looks like a pre IS version. can you measure the spacing of it? would help work out what mount it is.

that is not a disc mount or anything to do with discs. have a look at an A2Z adaptor for frames with no mounts.

Is there some holes on the other side of the frame?
It could be mounting holes for a rack.

    Those are rack mounting holes.
Get an A2Z Adaptor for it.

A27 mounts work got one on my singelspeed but are a pain in the .....means a quick release wheel becomes a very slow release wheel and can take a bit of time to get the bolts at the right tension to give a smooth clearance for the rotor. But if you need a disc on the rear your only option (apart from brake therapy rofl)
