advice on whats next for my lad

hello my problem is that my son has outgrown his 20" saracen jump bike and i am fretting about what to get him next, he has the tallness of a 12 year old but is only 7, would it be best to get him a 24" jump bike or anything else, please bare in mind i am on a budget, but we have very recently been over to chicksands and he enjoyed the 4x, dual and a couple of the easier downhill stuff. please could someone offer me some advice of what would be suitable etc as i'm a stupid xc bloke who hasn't the first idea about what value for money in the jump world. many thanks in advance

Full sus, good spec for a childs bike, YPFWYG though.
Hard Tail, reasonable spec for a childs bike, again YPFWYG.
Both these bikes would be good for him. Obviously if he is wanting to do more DH then the Full sus is probably best. However, the Hard tail will make a good allrounder.

Norco and Kona Make 'hardcore' bikes for smaller people I think, such as the Stuff 2-4 and the Shred 2-4. Not sure on prices though.
