It came on saturday morning to me, and i lay in bed for 20 minutes flicking through it. havent picked it up since.

the world cup review was pish, and they seemed to fill half of it with photo articles simply to take up space.

Funnily enough. i seem to do the same thing with every mbuk i buy these days.

buy it,
pick it up,
read mintsauce,
browse for anything of interest,
put it on the pile with the rest of them.

Yet i keep buying it. in the hope that there might, one day, be something of interest to read.

However i could pick up a magazine from 3 years ago, read it cover to cover, and then read it again. thats how good it used to be [:(]

i have found that the pictures take up a lot more space, and there are more good qualitaii pictures, but its lacking sustinance.

I would like more in-depth technical stuff with hardcore mathematical analysis of damping rates and axle paths and stuff like guides on tuning shims and disasembling rear shocks etc. MBUK can deal with the kids stuff, let Dirt be an unashamedly geeky mag. I don't want to be told to send off my shock or forks to be tuned be someone, put in depth guides on how to do it yourself. And hell,sometimes I just want to see a profile photo of a bike, not some elaborate montage of various pics that don't quite lign up.

i didnt think it was that bad...no bike reviews is a little bit crap, but most of the articles are quite interesting. the design and photography are superb as normal, which matters to me as much as the words. it is still a lot, lot better than any other bike mag.

it's a bloody nightmare to find around my way (south east england, we don't have much of a population after all) so I only get to read it every few months
