bent rotors... grrr

If there's one thing that really annoys me on a bike it's bent rotors that drag on the pads and make a fft...fft....fft....fft... noise as the wheel's spinning.
When I got my new bike last week the front rotor was ok but the rear was slightly dragging, I pulled it straight with an adjustable spanner and then it was ok.
I went for a ride today and unfortunately came off 'cos I slipped. After that, the front rotor had bent a slight bit but only a tiny bit, and didn't take much to pull it back to straightness, but the back one was bent to high jamy.
I'm thinking it'd be better to replace it. But a lot of rotors come bent, out of the factory - so how can I make sure I get a straight one? You can't tell by eye when it's not on the wheel.
Also do you think the fact that I did quite a bit of unbending on the rotor originally would have made it significantly weaker? So do any manufacturer make stronger rotors than others that are less likely to bend?
The brakes are Avid juicy 5.
Any advice much appreciated!

I've also had much irritation with bent rotors, bending them back might weaken them a little but I don't think it does too much harm, and is better than them dragging. I am currently running a cheap tektro pair with my juicy 7s and they have remained completely true since the day I fitted them.

I'm not sure because i have only used the hope floating ones, but, I think hey are better for this because they have a little lateral play, hence they are much more tolerant to being tweaked back into straight after some muppet knocks your rotor. However they are also easier to tweak out of true. But I'd imagine they'd be slightly harder to properly bend, because of the give.

yeah, i went in the lbs, they didn't have any in stock but did say that a little unbeding won't do any harm but what will is constantly doing it as that will fatigue the metal.
I think the problem with my current one is it's bent back in the wrong place so from the side it's like a Z-shape almost, consequently it's impossible to get it straight.
anyhow i've ordered one of these http://www.chainreactioncycles.com/Mode ... odelID=191 as it got good write up, should fit my avid caliper as they're both 185mm and doesn't look too different in shape and waviness etc.
Hopefully it won't come bent as hope ones apparently do but i've ordered three just in case so can send one or two back if they are.
