New forks for a Claud Butler rock?

hey, im looking for some new forks as im getting some play forwards and backwards in them, that n there crap. i have a standard claud butler rock and since i cant take my car to uni nxt year gonna pimp my bike instead. not lookin at spending loads so 2nd hand is an option,

At which point did you say "anyone got any ideas"?!
Are you going to be commuting on the bike? What sort of riding will you be mainly doing (XC, Jumps etc)? Is there anything in particular you are looking for in a suspension fork (lock out, rebound adjustment etc)? What is your budget?

i will be doin some commuting but mainly xc and some downhill, budget lookin round œ150 max but would prefer a 2nd hand set.0

Ok, well you will need to stay around the 100mm travel mark as this is what your frame is designed for. You would need to go 2nd hand really at that price, although having said that I got a nice set of Rock Shox Dart for œ32 last night off ebay. Something along the lines of Rock Shox Tora or Revelation, Marzocchi MX Pro and such with good damping, vee and disc mounts (for upgrading later), damping and rebound adjustment. You could probably find better forks than those 2nd hand for œ150 but remember they are 2nd hand!

RST's are generally rubbish, have a look at RockShox Tora's I think Chain reaction Cycles have some @ œ90.
