hey
recently got my bike nicked and so looking for a new one. hopefully getting 500 from insurance if ill get it.
hoping to get a new better bike (last was 06 hardrock pro). looking to maybe putting 100-200 pounds onto the 500. any ideas.
should i stick to a hardtail or could i get a decent short travel xc full suss.
and recommendations would be great

There are quite a few topics of this nature but can tell you that you're not going to get a Full Susser of any real value for œ6/700)but maybe look around for a second hand one? I would go for a hardtail personally if that's your absolute limit. I'd still go with a Spesh TBH - but you will get a few people who may disagree with me there - They are always very upgradeable/future proof and damn good frames for the money![:D]

you will get a much better hardtail for that money. The spesh rockhopper range and the giant xtc are a good bet for that money.
