Right im running a truvativ boxguide with a 36t ring and I feel I need a bashring to protect it, so if I take the outer boxguide off I should be able to run 1, but its between a 36t bash ring and a 40t bash ring which would be better?

36t will be better as it will fit you chain ring size perfectly and give you more ground clearence over the 40t bash

OK thanks, might go changing to a 34t because it catches on 1/4'ers but i'll keep the bash for grinding (when I ever get round to learning that)
ps nice bike
