Why?

Why build a dirt jump (as in a real dirt jump 6ft high and damn steep) in the middle of a DH course? Its not practical and slows the entrance to the best bit of the course down. Woe is me the dirt jumpers have a huge area at the top of the course why slow me down? They ruined a perfectly servicable jump that could be hit at any speed and kept the chavs happy.
