There seems to be a lot of people ont his forum screaming out to get this user, or that user banned.
Why? Do you really find them that offensive? christ grow up.
How do you deal with real life if you're that quick to try and get forum members banned? run to the nearest policeman and try and get someone arrested because they disagree with you?

People are removed from the forum because they break the rules. The rules are their to keep this forum a nice place to be.

Banning is always a last resort if the said forum member continues to break the rules.

I think the banning mentality is a result of the government

think about it
a few people with guns do some horrific things, lets ban guns rather then deal with the people. the rate of gun crime is now higher then it was when they were banned.
Some nutter with a cheap cheapen knife kills someone, lets bann the carying of knives, itdoesn't matter that you can only carry a folding knife and most knives used in crime are kitchen knives but the government will be seen to do something.

I was thinking about gun crime the other day. well, violent crimes in general.
There's always some government know-all ready to pounce on the issue with gun amnesties and so on.
But, i thought to myself, aren't they just treating the symptom, rather than the cause?
surerly there must be a general feeling of dissolusionment, and an undercurrent of tension that leads people to violence.
I can imagine that it would of course be harder to treat the cause, but it would also be far more effective.
