If the frame your using now takes a 10mm axel, how do you expect an axel 4mm bigger in diameter to fit? Or have you/are you wanting to change frame?
The hub you have won't accept a bigger axel.

Same thing happened to me. I had a 10mm hub and my frame had 14mm drop outs.
Just get these.
It does depend on your hub, however.
I have an atomlab GI, and the halo axemen screw onto the existing hub, so QR won't work.
