By crash, I assumed you meant "had an impact with another object, damaging your car and rendering it undriveable."

It will be a good race, especially if one of the Mclarens has an incident at the first corner.

I'm looking forward to seeing if Kimi can drive through the field like Schumacher did last year.

Although i dislike Hamilton, watching him drift around some corners in qualifying was very entertaining.

Why do you dislike Hamilton? I think hes ace. McLaren are p*s$ing me off today though - they are playing the game for Alonso when really Hamilton could have won this with different tactics!

Well its not just him, the continuous coverage of Hamilton does get rather repetitive and tiring. I'd prefer to see equal coverage of all drivers.

Hamilton vs M Schumacher would be very good, though i doubt it will ever happen.

I agree. Equal coverage would get rather dull with DC being a bit rubbish and Mark Webber keep going off etc. Its good to see us with someone really good again.

Oh yes, and the race was dull though!

Yes - but downhiller90 said he wanted equal coverage of all drivers so it was just one of the first ones I could think of who wasn't doing so well and wasn't British!

I also think there is too much hype from the media surrounding Hamilton. But its because he is the only decent british driver there is. DC is past it and red bull have major reliability problems, Button is a mid fielder and always will be and Antony Davidson is not doing too well with Super Aguri.

  • That race was pritty boring, along with every other Monaco race. Theres maybe one possible passing spot on the track, the rest of the time its a dog chasing its own tail. Next race will be good i believe with Hamilton going for his first win. He has suprised me but then again, from his dominance in GP2, i can't say i wasn't expecting something similar

Monaco always strikes me as only being exciting for the potential crashes.
Theres no where to get speed like the other tracks and pretty much no passing opportunities.

Sure, the out and out speed isn't as great, but 180mph, on a track with rain gutters, manhole covers and the width of a go kart track.... is incredible.

Shame though, the race was a bit dull. Didn't really seem as if anyone was pushing all that hard- other than Alonso and Hamilton in the first half.

Good result for fisichella (sp?) and nice to see that the Hondas did better, albeit still a bit pants!

Its like Tim Henman, except Lewis is good.

Manaco was the first race of the season i've watched so far, and Hamlton is fooking fast no doubt. Bit of a boaring race, But that was to be expected inless the first corner went horribly wrong.

Oh, and along with the whole first race thing (i've literaly seen nothing before sunday) Mclarens look absolutely stunning as a pair of drivers, a car and the team. Which is good, as I used to support them a while ago.

No way was it anywhere similar to when ferrari orderd barichello out the way for Schuy.

1, Allonso WAS the faster man, you could see it miles off, every lap was superb.
2, Whats the point in having team mates try and overtake on another when your in a 1,2 position on Monaco... Why waste a possible
    1, race
    2, car x2
    3, drivers saftey
    4, 18 points

Mclaren did the right thing, if Lewis was going to win it it would have been before the pitting, and they were ordered to take it easy after.

IMO- Nothing wrong with what they did.

Who cares if they did order him to come in second anyway. He's a young man and if he's half as good as he's being pimped out by the media he will get plenty of chances to dominate either this season or next when he might get the premium seat

Still a bloody good chance he's going to be champion this season! 4 races hes got 3 2nds and a 3rd. Personaly if qualifing holds up he could be on for 1st in canada. This guys the next M.Schu (would have loved to see those two race.)

The problem with them holding back Hamilton is that they are holding back his talent.
He could have won 2 races this season easy, and my betting is he was told to 'hold back' in other races.
McLaren don't want to upset Alonso its as simple as that. It wouldn't surprise me if the FIA had something to do with it someway/don't treat it as it should. They don't want a newcomer rookie coming in and wiping the floor with the competition in the first season. Personally I think Hamilton should say balls to strategy/team order/ call it what you like and race how he wants. He should win, it might make it more exciting and make some of the other drivers up their game.

Hamilton isn't that new though. Admitedly its his first F1 season, but with his racing history its no suprise he's that good.
I personaly don't think its that. Mclaren if anything want to be making the other team wet themselfs by going "look at our new driver, well you could if you wern't so fugging slow"

Yeah he's been with Mclaren for years (they helped him through karting etc iirc)
It is no surprise, but I think hes better than Mclaren are letting him.
